Description

Accelerate Prosperity is looking for a highly professional and motivated Junior Investment

Analyst/Consultant to join our team and strengthen the Fund’s investment technical capacity.

The main goal of this role is to support the investment team through financial modeling,

preparation of investment presentations, and portfolio management. The successful candidate

will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and supporting investment opportunities from

ideation to implementation, as well as providing post-investment technical assistance.


The Junior Investment Analyst will also assist in managing the portfolio of invested

businesses, including performance tracking, data analysis, and reporting, as well as

supporting the operation and data entry in Accelerate Prosperity’s internal project

management and reporting application.


Responsibilities

  • Project Development & Analysis: Identify, research, and support the development of new business projects at various stages—from ideation to execution. Conduct market and needs assessments, operational planning, legal and risk analysis, and provide ongoing technical assistance post-investment.
  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Build, modify, and review financial models (P&L, balance sheets, cash flows, etc.) for both new and existing enterprises, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with AP standards.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct detailed due diligence on potential investment projects validating applicant information, assessing project feasibility and risks, and preparing recommendations for the Investment Manager.
  • Portfolio Management: Support portfolio oversight by tracking performance, assisting with strategic and operational solutions, preparing reports, and maintaining data and reporting in AP’s internal system.
  • Application Screening: Participate in the review and preliminary evaluation of funding applications and shortlist candidates for in-depth analysis.
  • Investment Committee Support: Contribute to the preparation of investment proposals and assist in responding to inquiries from the Investment Committee.

Required Qualifications and Experience


Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, or project support roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and practical experience in financial model building (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Basic knowledge of investment risk assessment, business models, and market analysis.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Tajik/Russian.

Good to Have:

  • Experience working with investment funds, donor organizations, or financial institutions.
  • Experience in credit analysis or business lending.
  • Knowledge of impact assessment tools for social and economic evaluation.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA, FMVA, or similar) are an advantage.
